Principal's Message

September 23th, 2020

Hello Clark Cougars!

I hope you are keeping an optimistic attitude during our remote learning phase.  I miss your kids so much!  You have no idea how much I miss wishing students a good day as they enter and leave campus, going into classrooms with students there, seeing our wonderful staff each day, helping to clean up lunch tables and urging students not to cut the lunch line, and I miss basketball, soccer, band, orchestra, and football at this time of year.

We are doing things to keep the spirit alive with spirit weeks, funny videos, announcements, and an anticipated, safe and incremental return to after school activities, clubs and organizations with a few students here and there on campus to ease the ghost town effect.

We'll be together again soon.  Until then, absence makes the heart grow fonder.  Go Cougars!

We'll have Open House this Thursday, September 24th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Log in with your students to see your teachers.  Please join us, by clicking here. Then select your child’s grade level (Slide 1), and click on your teachers name.  You will also have an opportunity to learn about curricula and expectations from not only Homeroom Teachers, but also  our English Learners Resource Teachers, Diverse Learner Paraprofessionals, our Intervention Support Teacher, the Encore Teachers, our Librarian and more.

We hope to have an awesome turn-out for Open House, and all from the comfort of your own home:)

Also, if you wish to speak to Principal Rodriguez  during Open House?  You can do so by clicking here.

Progress report grades were posted last week, so please look for paper copies to be  delivered via postal mail. We are still looking for an Art teacher, so that grade will be blank,  but this will not affect your child’s promotion or retention. In lieu of art class, we have students working on science fair projects on a self-selected topic. Great topics so far!

You can always look at your students' grades on the Parent Portal.

Clark Elementary School anticipates welcoming 240 students this school year.

We know this is a pandemic, and parents need to make school choices accordingly, that will be respected.  We want your students to be "Cougars for Life," so we are here to support you in any way we can.

I am proud to be your school principal.  Please let me know how I can help you!
