Ms. Gladys Rodriguez: Hi! I’m Gladys Rodriguez, the proud principal of Clark Elementary School. Clark is a K-5 school offering rich academic programs. We have great teachers, supportive families, bright students, and lots of fun. I enjoy working with a team of educators finding the latest innovative research trends to make sure that our students can meet their full potential. We have great family and community partnerships allowing us to offer fascinating programs beyond the classroom and the school building. Our school hoses the District’s distinguished TPI program, representing over 14 languages and cultures from around the world. We have an honors academy, STEM robotics, fine and performing arts, and lots and lots of sports. Work hard to get smarter is one of our goals. We set audacious goals for our students to exceed their potential. After all, our students are our future leaders and influence for a world of tomorrow. Our motto here is "every child, every day, no matter what!" Can't wait of you to join the Clark team. See you soon!

ATTENDANCE

Attendance week was the week of September 3. Clark School had over 97% of their students attending everyday that week. Clark School also ranked in the top ten in the County for attendance. Congratulations to staff, parents, and students for making attendance at school a priority. Please continue to make attendance a high priority.

PARCC ASSESSMENT

Last year was the final year for ISAT Testing. This year all students in Grades 3-5 will take the PARCC Assessment. PARCC stands for Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. The PARCC Tests are directly linked to the Common Core State Standards. Students will either take the test on the computer or the traditional way, paper and pencil. Last year our fifth grade students were lucky enough to field test the PARCC Reading test, both in March and at the end of the year. Because it was a field test we are not able to get the results of how well our students did. More information about the PARCC Assessments will be shared throughout the year.
